Today’s announcement from Apple involved several products getting smaller in size, in response to user feedback asking for more portable devices. Memory has also increased for some familiar devices. Here’s a rundown of the news from Apple:
- iPhone SE: Pretty much an iPhone 5S with updated internals, this phone is 4 inches and will have the same processor and graphics performance as the iPhone 6S. It will be double the speed of the 5S and have a 12-megapixel camera, shoot 4K video, and have an NFC chip so it works with Apple pay.
- Smaller iPad Pro: Now 9.7 inches, this version still retains some of the features from the 12.9-inch model. The screen is less reflective and works with the Apple Pencil stylus. It will also have a 12-megapixel camera.
- New Bands and Price for Apple Watch: The price of the Apple Watch will drop to $299 with new bands in woven nylon, space black, and Milanese Loop.
- iOS 9.3: The new operating system will adjust the screen for nighttime use, to reduce the negative impact its blue light has on REM cycles. It also includes a fingerprint lock in the Notes app to protect sensitive information.
