Hiring an IT company is about more than rates. Ask the right questions to know you’re getting a proactive provider.

1) How will they charge?
Does the company offer all necessary services? Are software upgrades and service hours included?

2) Is there 24/7 coverage?
Your website never clocks out. Make sure they offer 24/7 support, and check whether it’s in-house or outsourced.

3) How many clients do they have?
A larger number of clients doesn’t always mean excellent service. You want your account manager intimately familiar with your IT history.

4) What happens if I need more space?
If you have a “no news is good news” relationship with IT, they might not notice when you approach capacity.

5) Who will manage my account?
A first-name relationship with your IT manager ensures quick project completion.
