Windows 10 will include seamless support (at least as advertised) for universal apps across all its platforms. That is, your progress in an app will follow you across all your Windows 10 devices.
We have hints of universal apps now, like when you use the same app on your phone and your tablet. The Windows 10 version means you’ll be able to play a game on your Xbox, switch to your PC, check your score on your tablet, and then zoom through the experience in 3D with your HoloLens. Instead of your digital experience of the world being broken up into little bites, it’ll flow from device to device as you move through your day.
Windows 10 doesn’t have an official release date yet, but it’s available for preview now.
